How do I load a song?
Tap the menu button (☰) in the top right corner to open the song selector.
Browse through the available songs and tap to load one.
How do I connect my MIDI keyboard?
Connect your MIDI keyboard to your iPad via USB or Bluetooth.
Then tap the piano keyboard icon on the control panel to connect.
When connected, the icon will glow red.
The app isn't loading music. What should I do?
Mi Piano requires an internet connection to load the music notation engine (Verovio).
Please check your internet connection and try again. If you're on cellular data,
ensure the app has permission to use cellular data in Settings.
How do I change the tempo?
Tap the tempo button (shows current speed like "1.00x") on the control panel.
It will cycle through different tempo options: 0.5x, 0.75x, 1.0x, 1.25x, and 1.5x.
What is Explore Mode?
Tap the binoculars icon to activate Explore Mode. This shows all the notes in the
current measure highlighted on the piano keyboard, helping you learn which keys to play.
How do I loop a section?
The app automatically loops the entire song. Advanced loop controls for specific
measures are available on the control panel - look for the loop icon with measure numbers.
What iPad models are supported?
Mi Piano supports all iPad models running iOS 18.5 or later.
